1.Ph.D./ MDes/ PG Diploma in - Industrial Design, Product Design, Transportation Design, Communication Design, System Design, Human Factor Engineering, Design Thinking, and its allied disciplines.

2.BFA/ MFA/ PhD in - Applied Arts/ Music/ Dance/ Performing Arts/ Fine Arts/ Digital Media/ Digital Culture/ Sculpture/ Theatre/ Body Language, and its allied disciplines.


Work Experience (For Assistant Professor): 5 years (Doctorate or its equivalent industry experience).

A limited number of furnished 3-BHK apartments, with provision for car parking are available on the campus, that is admissible to the faculty on a priority and availability basis. The faculty shall bear the utility bills. In case campus accommodation is not available, the faculty member is eligible for a rented accommodation up to a maximum slab of INR 15,000 per month @ Indore or INR 10,000 per month @Ujjain.

Local Transport

The faculty member will be entitled to free local transport facility for commuting from campus to airport as well as the city, for official as well as personal purpose if he is residing in the campus. Alternately, if the accommodation is outside the campus, a shared transportation for daily commute shall be provided.

Relocation Allowance

A reimbursement allowance is admissible to faculty who are moving from abroad or within India. This reimbursement will normally not exceed INR 50,000 (for international relocation) and INR 25,000 (for relocation in India) and is admissible only after you join the university. This allowance includes the expenses incurred by you towards;

Travel for self and dependents by Air (Economy) or Train (AC 2 Tier) from your current location to Avantika University Campus at Ujjain.
Packing and Transportation of goods (including loading and unloading charges).
The allowance will be paid only against original bills and only after 3-months of service.

Professional Development Allowance

The faculty is entitled to an allowance of INR 1,00,000 (maximum) per year. This can be utilized for membership of professional society, registration fee for participation in professional development programs, conferences, workshops and training programs, books and journals, stationery and printer cartridges, computer consumables, photocopying/ typing/ binding charges, repair/ service charges of existing equipment, experimental facility utilization charges, consumables required for experimental studies, and travel for participation in conference, workshop, visiting other institutes for collaborative work. The amount admissible shall be subject to approval, based on the policy in force.

Research Initiation Grant

This grant shall enable the beginning of research activities and foster innovative product and technology development. A seed-grant of INR 10,00,000 (maximum) is admissible to a faculty on joining the university. The research proposed should be sustainable and have potential to attract external funding. The research proposal will be reviewed by the Avantika Research Committee (ARC) on scope, relevance, impact, and fund requirement. On the recommendation of ARC, The Vice-Chancellor shall consider and approve the fund. The funds may be used to procure specialized equipment, software, and laboratory supplies. Avantika expects that the faculty who avail this grant will seek external funds to support their research program within two years, and otherwise enhance their teaching performance. The report of the faculty on the use and outcome of the grant will be part of his appraisal.
