1 BVSc. / BV.Sc. and AH atleast with second division.
2 Master’s degree in Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension/ Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education/ Livestock Production & Management/ Animal Breeding/ Animal Breeding & Genetics/ Animal Nutrition/ Animal Reproduction/ Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics/ Veterinary Medicine/ Epidemiology & Preventive Veterinary Medicine/ Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
3 Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment). However, candidates having passed matric level Punjabi examination at the time of applying/ interview will be given preference
4 Candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall be compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. Degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidate has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.
5 A candidate who may not possess Master’s degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post, such a candidate must have obtained minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks at Master’s level in the allied field.
NPA will be given where appropriate as per University rules
Candidates must fulfill the requisite qualifications by the last date of receipt of applications.
Application fee of Rs.1500/- Bank draft of the requisite application fee in favour of COMPTROLLER, GADVASU payable at Ludhiana should be attached.
The University will prepare a score card for the posts on the basis of academic record and experience etc. As per the merit of the score card, 10 eligible candidates for one post and 5 more candidates for each additional post shall be called for interview.
Self-addressed envelope (9”x4”) along with postal stamps of Rs. 25/- must be attached with the application form.
In-service candidates should apply through proper channel. While advance copy of the application must reach by the prescribed last date of the receipt of applications, the copy through proper channel must reach in the office of Registrar, GADVASU before the date of interview/ written test whichever is applicable. If a candidate is unable to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview, his candidature will be considered as fresh candidate.
The reservation and relaxation in age shall be as per Punjab Govt./ University rules.
Appointment to this posts shall be co-terminus with the scheme in which these are provided.
50% exemption in examination fee will be given to the physically handicapped persons.
The candidates should enclose self-attested copies of all the certificates of qualifications, detail marks, experience, caste certificate/certificate of Physical Handicap (for reserved category candidates) alongwith application form.
